In an attic application, you should use a perforated product. Why? Moisture inside of an attic has to be able to find a way out of the attic or else if it becomes traps, your attic space can grow mold or mildew. Using a perforated foil allows water vapor to pass through the foil layer and head toward your exhaust vents (powered or static) so the attic can dry properly.
